Alpha Wax can offer a wide range of Specialty Polyethylene Waxes from our partner Trecora Chemical. Trecora Chemical Polyethylene Wax products are hard products, with a high melting point and low to medium viscosity, derived from HDPE resin manufacture.

These products can be used in a variety of applications, including: as a performance additive for hot melt adhesives; as a penetration and melting point modifier for paraffin and microcrystalline waxes; as a lubrication and processing aid for plastics, PVC and rubber; and as a dry stir-in additive for inks. In oxidized forms, applications for CWP polyethylene wax include use in textile emulsions, as the wax portion of polish formulations, and as a lubricant in PVC extrusion.

Based on the new Shell GTL White Oils and FT Waxes we have designed a complete new product line, called Carisma Jelly. Ready to use, these special formulas create the whitest and purest Petroleum Jellies for many Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical applications.

Fenix Aromatic Process Oil

Fenix is an aromatic process oil, type RAE (residual aromatic extract). It is suitable as extender oil in the manufacturing of industrial rubber and especially for tyres. It can also be used in black printing ink formulations. This process oil doesn’t require any labelling because of its low toxicity level.

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – CHU561

Trecor CHU 561 is a High Density Polyethylene Wax suitable for use in general purpose Hot melt adhesives to reduce viscosity and control open and set time. It can be used in applications where penetration is not of paramount importance.

Softening Point: 107-118°C. Penetration: max 9 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C : max 55 cP

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – CHU610

Trecor CHU610 is a High Density Polyethylene Wax. It is used in applications where a higher viscosity is desirable. Compared to other low density polyethylene waxes, the viscosity of Trecor CHU610 is still relatively low.

Softening Point: 113-121°C. Penetration: max 9 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: 55-300

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – CWP400

Trecor CWP400 is a High Density Polyethylene Wax intended for use in specifically Hot melt adhesives intended for the packaging industry where heat stability and heat resistance are required. In addition, Trecor CWP400 will also reduce the viscosity of the finished blend. Trecor CWP400 can be used in inks and coatings to provide rub resistance.

Softening Point: 110-118°C. Penetration: max 2 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: max 50 cP

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – CWP500

Trecor CWP500 is a High Density Polyethylene Wax intended for use in general hot melt adhesives to reduce viscosity and control open and set time.

Softening Point: 107-116°C. Penetration: max 8 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: max 50 cP

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – CWP400 E

Trecor CWP400E is a High Density Polyethylene Wax intended for use in general purpose Hot melt adhesives to reduce viscosity and control open and set times. It has a slightly higher softening point and lower penetration than the Trecor CWP500E giving the formulator some options. It functions as an external lubricant in PVC processing to reduce torque in an extruder, specifically during production of PVC pipe. Trecor CWP400E is also available in a coarse powder form.

Softening Point: 110-118°C. Penetration: max 3 dmm. Viscosity at 149 °C: max 50 cP

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – CWP500 E

Trecor CWP500E is a High Density Polyethylene Wax intended for use in hot melt adhesive applications to reduce viscosity and control open and set times. It has a slightly lower softening point and higher penetration than the Trecor CWP400E giving the formulator some options.

Softening Point: 107-116°C. Penetration: max 8 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: max 50 cP

Trecora Oxidized Polyethylene Wax – OX7

Trecor OX7 and Trecor OX7E are oxidized High Density Polyethylene Waxes used in applications where compatibility with polar systems are required. They can also be used in aqueous systems like wax dispersions used in coating and other industrial applications.

Softening Point: 102-114°C. Penetration: max 5 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: max 30 cP

Trecora Polyethylene Wax – Trecor HMA-1

Trecor HMA-1 is a High Density Polyethylene Wax with a narrow molecular weight distribution. It is designed for use in Hot melt adhesives intended for the packaging industry to provide heat resistance, reduce the viscosity of the HMA formulation, and also control open and set time.

Softening Point: 113-121°C. Penetration: max 2 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: max 50 cP.

Trecora Oxidized Polyethylene Wax – OX18

Trecor OX18 and Trecor OX18E are oxidized High Density Polyethylene Waxes used in applications where compatibility with polar systems are required. They are used as internal lubricants in PVC extrusion. They can be used in aqueous systems like wax dispersions used in coatings and other industrial applications. Trecor OX18E is also available in a coarse powder.

Softening Point: 95-110°C. Penetration: max 12 dmm. Viscosity at 149°C: max 30 cP

Trecora L-Crysta P7200 – Polymer Additive for Candles

This specialty polymer is a common component of candles to improve structure, hardness, strength, color dispersion, and fragrance retention. Additionally, L-Crysta can be used as partial or total replacements for stearic acid. Typical concentrations of L-Crysta amount to 0,25 – 1% by weight.
